Sydney, NSW, Australia
The Man O'War Steps, at the western end of Farm Cove and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Originally a stone jetty and steps used to move military stores and personnel to and from an armed ship (a Man O'War), anchored nearby in Sydney Harbour.
Having deteriorated significantly over the years, they were rebuilt in 1973 when the adjacent Sydney Opera House was built on Bennelong Point. A ramp and berthing pontoon were also added.
Two floating jetties (Man O'War East Jetty and Man O'War West Jetty) were added later to enable easy access to water taxis.
