Darlington
The suburb of Darlington was originally home to the Cadigal people (part of the Eora group). The European settlement began with William Hutchinson's land grant in 1819 and William Shepherd's in 1827 - these were joined, subdivided and sold throughout the early 1880s.

Ivy Street. Originally home to the Cadigal people, later forming part of William Shepherd's 'Darling Nursery' (the land was granted to Shepherd by Governor Richard Bourke in 1835, but originally promised to him by Governor Ralph Darling in 1827).
