The Sydney suburb of Glebe is simply a former glebe (land belonging to the church); Governor Arthur Phillip granted 400 acres to Reverend Richard Johnson (Chaplain of the First Fleet) in 1790.

The Sydney Fish Market on Blackwattle Bay. Formerly a warehouse for the Australian Paper Mills Company, it was taken over in 1945 by the state government and converted to a wholesale market.
In 1994 it was privatised, and in 2005 it was set to be heavily redeveloped (although a decade later, the site's unchanged).
