Parramatta : Centenary Square (Bicentennial Square)
Centenary Square. Originally a shopping and market area, from 1888 (the colony's centenary) it was formally named 'Centenary Avenue'; pedestrianised and renamed 'Bicentennial Square' in 1988.
On 25 Sep 2014 it was changed and renamed once again, this time to 'Centenary Square'.

The Queensland Insurance Building & Gardens, Centenary Square (beside St John's Cathedral). Designed by Carr Allen and Watts, constructed 1960 on the site of the former Metcalfe and Morris Ltd livery stable and funeral parlor.
NB : the bottom floor of the building is a retail area, known as the 'Queensland Arcade'.
