Parramatta Park, originally the ‘Governor’s Domain’ - the land used by Colonial Governors to help support the colony.
Officially declared a public park in 1858.

This particular area was part of George Salter’s farm (now known as 'The Dairy Precinct'), his 1796 grant of 30 acres. Absorbed in to the ‘Governor’s Domain’ by Lachlan Macquarie in 1815.
The building is the 'Rangers Cottage', constructed c1870 as residential + storage space for the Parramatta Park Rangers.
