Construction of the Riverside Meriton towers on the site of the former David Jones store (opened Nov 1961, demolished Jul 2013), beside the magnificent Lennox Bridge (David Lennox, 1836-1839). Beautiful area.

NB : the car park for the former David Jones store was itself constructed on the site of JKS Houison’s former home - built 1861, known locally as the ‘Bond House’.
