Railway Square (originally known as 'Central Square'), occupying the area between Broadway and Lee, Pitt & George Streets. Home to the Railway Square Tram Interchange for the first half of the 20thC, now to a bus interchange.

This is Henry Deane Plaza, the area between the Railway Square bus station and the Devonshire Street Tunnel entrance. Deane was 'Engineer in Chief of the New South Wales Government Railways', designing the nearby Central Railway Station.
The area itself is largely the same age as the surrounding buildings [1910-1913], with the shopping centre being constructed 1998-2000.
