Pennant Hills, Sydney, NSW, Australia
Regeneration area, Observatory Park. The entire park was mown (around the trees) from 1953-1988, when a small central area - after persistent urging by local resident John Noble - was set aside to regrow.
In 2000 this area was almost doubled in size, and the area is now returning to a Sydney Blue Gum High Forest - much as it would have been prior to the Field of Mars subdivision.
