James Watkinson Reserve, Mill Street (in front of Ways Terrace). Named in 1954 for swimming instructor Jim Watkinson senior (known as ‘Wocco’ or ‘Watko’), who lived in nearby Bowman Street. Watkinson was perhaps the best known identity in Pyrmont at the time.
