The Anzac Bridge (originally known simply as the ‘Glebe Island Bridge’, formally renamed 11 November 1998). Constructed by Baulderstone Hornibrook, opened 3 December 1995.
Immediately in front of it is the 1903 Glebe Island Bridge (now disused), which opened to enable ships to pass between Rozelle Bay and Johnstons Bay. The new bridge was intentionally made much higher, in order to avoid the frequent opening - and the accompanying traffic disruption.
