John Whitton Memorial, Knapsack Park. Whitton was the prolific railway engineer behind many superb viaducts, bridges and stations; notably the Knapsack Viaduct, the Picton Viaduct and the Lithgow Zig-Zag.
The memorial was a result of years of petitioning by private enthusiast J.W. Paddison, and was erected 1980.
