The Rocks : Coroners Court
The Rocks' Coroner's Court - the first built in NSW. Designed by Walter Liberty Vernon, constructed 1906-1908.
Partially demolished in 1972 (largely the City Morgue section of the building, at the rear) when it was converted to an exhibition space and offices.

Rear of the Former Mariners' Church (right), designed by John Bibb and constructed 1859. In 1910 this was combined with the 'Missions to Seamen' (missionary activity for neglected sailors), becoming the 'The Rawson Institute for Seamen'.
Next to it is the former Coroner's Court - the first built in NSW. Designed by Walter Liberty Vernon, constructed 1906-1908.
