Broughton & Powderhall

The former village of Broughton (more completely, 'The Barony of Regality of Broughton') - roughly bounded by Leith Walk, Broughton Street, Broughton Road and McDonald Road.

Powerderhall - named after the Balfour family's gunpowder factory beside the Water of Leith, is an area lying between Broughton Road and Warriston Road.

Both have since been swallowed up by the City of Edinburgh, and exist solely as names of streets, pubs and various businesses.
