Queensberry House, Canongate. Constructed 1686 by Charles Maitland, Lord Haltoun. Haltoun sold it to the first Duke of Queensberry, hence the name.

The surrounding work is the creation of the New Scottish Parliament building ; designed by architect Enric Miralles. Constructed Jun 1999-Oct 2004.
