Canongate Kirkyard, Edinburgh
Canongate Kirkyard. In use since the church's foundation in 1688 (it was the burial ground for the surrounding parish, not just the church), closed to new burials early 20thC.
Beyond is the Old Royal High School building in Regent Road. Designed by Thomas Hamilton, and constructed 1826-29.
