Parramatta, Sydney, NSW, Australia
The Parramatta River - the main tributary of Sydney Harbour. The adjacent land was occupied for many thousands of years by the Burramattagal, Toongagal, Wallumattagal, Wangal, and Wategora Aboriginal peoples; all of whom used the river as both a food source and place for trade.
On the left is the car park for the former David Jones store (opened Nov 1961, demolished Jul 2013), beside the magnificent Lennox Bridge (David Lennox, 1836-1839). Gradually being replaced by the Riverside Meriton towers - a combination of residential and commercial spaces.
