George McRae
George McRae was a Scottish architect who migrated to Australia in 1884, becoming Government Architect of New South Wales in 1912. Succeeding Walter Liberty Vernon, he completed the Sydney Town Hall as well as designing the Queen Victoria Building and the lower entrance to Taronga Zoo.
