Henry Deane Walsh (civil engineer, architect)
Henry Deane Walsh was both a civil engineer (he was a long-time Chief Engineer of the Sydney Harbour Trust) and architect. The area of 'Walsh Bay' is named in his honour, and his architectural prowess can be seen in buildings such as the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf and the Palisade Hotel at Millers Point.

The Palisade Hotel, Bettington St. Designed by Henry Deane Walsh (Chief Engineer of the Sydney Harbour Trust), constructed 1915-1916 to replace an 1880 hotel of the same name.
Both named for the palisade fence between Munn St and Bettington St.
