Henry Deane Walsh (civil engineer, architect)

Henry Deane Walsh was both a civil engineer (he was a long-time Chief Engineer of the Sydney Harbour Trust) and architect. The area of 'Walsh Bay' is named in his honour, and his architectural prowess can be seen in buildings such as the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf and the Palisade Hotel at Millers Point.

A pair of cast iron anchors, used by construction barges for the Sydney Harbour Bridge [built 1923-1932]. Recovered during construction of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, and currently awaiting restoration & relocation.
