Near Selçuk, Turkey
Remains of the ancient Greek city of Ephesus, near what is now Selçuk (Turkey). Constructed 10thC BC on the site of the former Arzawan capital, it became famous as the home of the Temple of Artemis [circa 550 BC] - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
