Tynemouth, England

Tyne North Pier (aka 'Tynemouth Pier) - a massive stone breakwater extending 810m from the foot of the Priory. Constructed 1854-1895.

A lighthouse was added in 1864, with the current one (part of the pier was rebuilt after a savage storm, and the lighthouse was replaced) constructed 1903-1908.
