Kendal, Cumbria, England
Kendal Castle, Cumbria. Built late 12th century as the home of the Lancaster family (Barons of Kendal), though perhaps best known for associations with the Parr family.
Deserted (and falling into disrepair) by 1512, when Catherine Parr was born.
